Selesai Installasi “Linux Mint” , kalo memang masih ada masalah dengan booting nya.. yaitu pada saat loading pertama, muncul :

Nahh…Apalagi ni.. ada aja si linux bikin orang pusing.. tapi gak apa, makin banyak masalah..makin banyak penyelesaian..makin banyak ilmu..dan makin banyak sakit kepala.. sehingga sesekali mesti : #/etc/init.d/otak_kiri_kanan restart . hukhukhuk..
buka paman google..”banyaklah paman khoe” serching…….nah ketemu,solusi nya 
coba kita lihat isi script menu.lst untuk grub nya, diterminal dengan mengetik :

Sekarang coba kita lihat script diatas yang ada tulisan “gfxmenu=/etc/grub/message.mint” . pastikan root (/) di posisi partisi keberapa.

dari penelusuran nya dapat kita lihat posisi root (/) di /dev/sda7
sekarang kita tinggal mengedit menu.lst di grub nya, proses editing tergantung anda mau pakai editor jenis apa, saya sendiri menggunakan editor vi untuk editing nya.. ok.. langsung aja :
$sudo vi /boot/grub/menu.lst
kemudian edit di baris (gfxmenu=/etc/grub/message.mint) tambah kan :
gfxmenu(hd0,7)=/etc/grub/message.mint
tidak perlu melihat baris yang lain, kecuali anda memang ingin mengotak-atik grub nya
.. sekarang tinggal escape dan
:wq
(simpan keluar)..
SELESAI..reboot komputer (notebook) anda dan lihat hasil kerjaan anda
